After graduating New York's School of Visual Arts, George Higham spent
some years doing freelance special-effects work and traveling the world.
Somehow or other, he ended up back in NYC x-raying corpses fro the morgue. By night he makes monsters... His nightmarish stop-motion animated puppet film based upon Edgar A. Poe's ANNABEL LEE is currently available on DVD from Lurker Films. THE WORMWEIRD TAROT, a boxed edition containing a full 80 card deck and Codex Book, has just been published by EOS Press. This artwork features the weird horror of absinthe, necromancy, waxworks, automata, steampunk, alchemy, plague and insanity. He utilized archaic Victorian stage-illusion techniques to create the strange and ghastly images, favoring his "build and shoot it" approach that gives his hyper-detailed expressionist sculptures and photographs a unique "real world" edge.
